Uganda Heart Institute Infrastructure Development Project (UHIP)
A new state-of-the-art cardiac hospital is being built in Naguru to provide specialized heart care, research, and training. The 10-level facility will feature 250 beds and advanced medical services, with USD 73 million in funding and a two-year completion timeline.

Regional Heart Centers
UHI is establishing 16 Regional Heart Centers to expand specialized cardiac care, with Phase One underway in five regions - Mbarara, Hoima, Gulu, Jinja, and Lira. Annual outreach visits continue to enhance screenings, treatment, and local healthcare training, aligning with Uganda’s Vision 2040.
