How to Apply
UHI CARDIAC FELLOWSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND APPLICATION DETAILS:
The UHI offers cardiac fellowships as a three-year, full-time training program, except for cardiac nursing fellowships, which have a two-year duration.
The academic year begins on July 1st.
Applicants must submit the following documents along with their application form:
- A well-written application letter addressed to the Executive Director, Uganda Heart Institute.
- A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.Ch.B) or Bachelor of Nursing degree (or its equivalent) from a recognized university.
- A Master of Medicine degree in Internal Medicine from a recognized university.
- A specialty license and registration from the Uganda Medical & Dental Practitioners Council or the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (or an equivalent regulatory body from another country).
- A valid annual practicing license issued by the medical council or relevant regulatory body.
- Letters of support from two senior-level referees in the medical profession.
- A personal statement.
- A current curriculum vitae (CV).
- Proof of identity, such as a passport copy or national identification card.
- A letter of support from the current employer.
Note: Incomplete applications or missing documents will result in automatic disqualification.
